Christmas Dinner Menu includes: Hor D’oeuvres, Main Courses, Desserts
Two years ago, my beau, Jim asked me if I’d cook a Christmas Eve Dinner for his brother-in-law Hank’s family. Hank was going to be in Florida with Jim’s sister Kathy, and Jim wanted to do something nice for Hank and Kathy. (Jim is crazy about Hank and Kathy.) Of course, I said yes. For me the fun started the moment I began planning for the event. I spent hours planning my menu. I wanted the dinner to be perfect. Hank and his family are Italian, so I focused on creating a menu that featured Italian specialties. Of course, since I’m Jewish, I had to throw in one or two Jewish items, too. We had 23 guests, and we served buffet style. Hank’s family kept insisting I must be Italian, because all of my Italian dishes were so delicious and tasted like authentic Italian food. The compliments really were flying that night. My own children, Randi, Danny, and Benji were all there, as was my mother. They went crazy for the food, too. Of course, Jim loved all I did. He really appreciated all the hard work I did. Here is my Christmas Eve menu. Look for all of these recipes in my upcoming articles.

- Antipasto
- Vegetable Calzones
- Potato Pancakes with Apple Sauce
- Pepperoni Stromboli

Unfortunately, Jim’s girls, Sarah and Grace couldn’t be with us on Christmas Eve. They would have loved it. But they did come the next day for Christmas Dinner. You guessed it. I prepared an entire Christmas dinner for them that included turkey and all the trimmings.
